Looking for descendants of a William maclay, maclea,etc. of Scotland who fled Oliver Cromwell to France around 1650 with his brother Stephen. They changed their name to Clason, Clawson, Closson, etc. William returned to Scotland; Stephen settled in Connecticut colony under the name Clason.
