McSherry/McSharry/Foley/Kinney My G-G-Grandparents came from Co. Leitrim, Ire. His name was Patrick Charles McSherry, hers was Winifred Kinney. He came to the U.S around 1876-1878 and was born in 1858. She came around 1874 and was born in 1860. When Patrick came to the USA, he changed our last name to Foley. They were married in New York City (have been unable to find a marriage cert. on file with New York)and died in Jamestown, N.Y. They had three children: MaryAnn, who never married, James Valentine (my G-Grandfather) who married Anna Amelia Marker, and Charles who died around age 11. I also have not been able to locate birth certs for any of their children or any death certs in New York. I am hoping to find their link to Ireland as I wish to return to their home country and re-establish ties to my Irish family there. Any help anyone may be able to give would be wonderful.
