I have traced my line of Lindsay's to my great grandfather Grief Lindsay born in old Burke County NC. Grief was born in about 1798 to Mary Hight Lindsay in the Mulberry community of what is now Caldwell county, NC. I think his father was Micajah Lindsay from Charlotte County VA whose father was Francis Lindsay. I can not document Micajah or Francis. John Hight, Mary's father was a neighbor of Francis Lindsay in Charlotte County and John moved to Burke County and I believe Micajah followed as he was the only Lindsay listed in the 1800 Census for Burke County. If you have any information of the Hights or Lindsay's I would greatly appreciate any information you may have. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
