Stephen Renfro, Jr and Mary McKinney Query. Per Dr. Otto Manschardt's research, in 1832 Stephen C. Renfro b. 1813 married Mary McKinney b. 1816. Their kids are listed as Thomas b. 1843, Seth b. 1845, and Mary b. 1848. This Stephen's father is listed as John Renfro b. 1786 d. 1856 in Grainger Co., Tennessee. John's will lists his wife Jane Coy and his children. In the 1794 Knox Co., Tennessee probate record for Stephen Renfro (identified by veteran Renfro researchers and documented in several works as Stephen Renfro, Jr or Stephen Renfro, II b. 1736), it lists his wife Margaret __ as Executor of his will. The document does not give her maiden name, but it does mention the names John Crawford & Moses Looney as her sureties for a $1,000 bond. We know Moses Looney was an extended family member, but could John Crawford also be close kin?
