Oliver Edward COOPER's parents: John Cooper, born, 04 SEP 1805 in Pennsylvania died, 25 Dec. 1868, Columbus, Bartholomew, IN Married: Clarissa WELLS, born 11 Mar.1804 in Pennsylvania, died, 11 JUL 1895, Bartholomew, IN (poss. remarried.) Oliver Edward Cooper born 29 SEP 1851, Columbus, Bartholomew, Indiana Oliver marr. Margaret Rosella Hobson 17 Jan 1876, Jackson Co. IN Margaret Rosella Hobson was born in Jackson Co. IN to William W. Hobson & wife, Elizabeth Brown. It has been noted that the Cooper's owned a house in Lake Co. Zion, IL but do not know if Oliver and Margaret ever lived there even though they owned it. The Cooper's moved to Plattsmouth, Neb. Oliver was at one time a partner in a lumber company in Deadwood. They lost a young son, Archie and he is buried Plattsmonth. The family later removed to Spearfish South Dakota. Most of his life Oliver worked for the railroads. In Spearfish he was a Section Fireman on the railroad. Francis Alice Cooper b. Jul 1885 " 6. Archie Cooper age 2, b. Nov 1887 d. Nov 1889 buried in Cass Co. Plattsmouth, Neb. 7. Arthur Fred Cooper b. Jun 1891 Neb. 8. Margaret Ellen Cooper b. Jun 1896 " Oliver died 09 July 1926. Margaret died 9 Aug 1926, They died one month to the day of each other and are buried at Rosehill cemetery, the only cemetery in Spearfish, Lawrence County South Dakota QUESTIONS: Need obituaries on the Cooper children and where buried. cemetery Spearfish, SD. Oliver died on died 9 July 1926 and Margaret 9 Aug 1926, and his wife followed one month later, both of illness.
