Can anyone help me ? I am looking for the Ancestry of George W Evarts who was born about 1828. He was a Civil War Veteran (Wisconsin Calvary, Co. M 2nd Reg.) and married Martha Bascom in April 12,1950 in Michigan, County of Shiawassee. They had two children, Asahel and Arthur who were raised after the death of their Parents by the Eli Whitney Family.He died of a fever October 17, 1862 in Keokuk, Iowa. Martha died February 18, 1864.Asahel moved to Alberta, Canada. He was my ggrandfather. Thank you. Doris Overbo
