Query Text: |
My ancestor ANDREW PEAGAN married a Margaret DELANEY on 6 June 1831. At the time, he was a member of the 1/21st Regiment of Foot (Royal North British Fusiliers) and that Regiment was in KILKENNY, Ireland in 1831. They had a son James (may have been James Joseph) born ca 1831/1833 maybe in Galway, Ireland. There may have been various spellings of Andrew's name. CANNOT LOCATE THEIR MARRIAGE RECORD or that of the birth of their son. ANDREW and Margaret were both born ca 1809/1810. Andrew apparently in Kilmannon, near the town of Maryborough in Queens County. No record of their births. They were apparently catholic. The Regiment left Sheerness, England in 1832/33 for Australia, and on the way, did the ship "Lord Lyndoch" call in to Madras, India? Could James have been born there OR EVEN AT SEA? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
