Sylvanus Phillips Hanly, Arkansas and Pennsylvania. I am looking for information on Sylvanus Phillips Hanly. I know he married Eudora Woodin of Berwick, Columbia Co., PA. Their daughter, Elizabeth Hanly, was born in Arkansas and married Richard Willing Oswald (8 Feb 1853-1928) of PA. They divorced, and Elizabeth Hanly Oswald died in MD or PA in the early 1950s. I would guess Sylvanus Phillips Hanly's birth date to be in the 1820s and probably, but not positively, in AK. There is a Civil War pension application (Confederate) from 1920 for Sylvanus P. Hanly in Arkansas. I have reason to believe this is the same person, but haven't seen the application yet. Does any one have any information on this man? I have checked census records on line, but haven't been able to find him anywhere. Thanks for any help you can give me. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
