I am researching my WILLIS family line. Joab Willis, (b. 10-1810, N.C.) married Minerva Adeline Weathers, (b. 1820,Ga.) in Gadsden (?) Co., Fl, abt 1837. List of children as follows; John .F. Willis + Frances Matilda Jane Vann, James D. Willis + (1) Sarah Sapp, (2) Rebecca Ann Chambers, "Greene" Charles Willis, Rachel Willis + A. Freirson Chandler, Sarah Emma Willis, Ella Ann Willis + Brantley Brown Sapp, William Matellis Willis, Gamaliel Alonzo "Mala" Willis + ? Singletary, more siblings. Apparently, the Weathers and Willis families were from the Early County, Georgia area, relocated in the Gadsden (?) County area, then back to Early County, Ga. Some info has Ella Ann Willis + B.B. Sapp family relocating to the Graceville, Florida area after the death of her father Joab Willis, in Early Co., Ga. Does anybody know of this Willis family line ? Can anybody help me find the names of parents for Joab Willis or Minerva Adeline Weathers ( may be the d/o John Weathers and Mary (Polly A.) Kelly ? My brick walls. Thank you for your time.
