SIMMONS, SAMUEL - I am trying to find the parents of Samuel Simmons who was born in Maine (I believe in either Camden or Rockport) in March, 1814. His death certificate indicates he was born March 26, 1814 but we have a book on the Warren, Maine town records and the author wrote to my mom and told her Samuel was a twin brother to George who was born March 12, 1814. We can find George's birth record, but not Samuel's. Samuel was married in 1844 to Sarah Hawes and died Dec. 6, 1892 in Warren, Maine. Children of Samuel and Sarah were: Sarah Jane (m. Isaac Upham), Mary Ann (m. Adelbert Lamb), Belinda Odilla (m. Bloomfield Calderwood), Miles Almon (m. Lizzie Rokes), Hannah Maria (m. Frederick Shibles), Robert Sylvester (never married), and Frederick Lorenzo (never married). Their daughter, Mary Ann is my maternal grandfather's mother.
