Cleveland Ohio - 1900 city directory - lists Jenks-Barner Lumber Co. John H. Jenks, pres. George T. Barner,vice-pres and treasurer, Benjamin L. Jenks, sec. Noticed elsewhere that Carl Strang as bookkeeper (Strang was George T. Barner's mother's maiden name). Does anyone know anything about these families and the business? A notebook of George T. Barner's brother William, indicates that there was a Barner-Mead Lumber Co. in 1904. Is this the same business, reorganized?
