I am trying to find when my ancestor came to England from Germany to be a sugarbaker/scum boiler in the East End of London. He married Anastasia (or Ann Stacey)and he died about 1820. His name was John George WESTFALLEN , or WESTPFAL, Westfall, Westphalen or similar, also known as John Jurgen. He had at least 4 children, and I am descended from William Henry Westfallen, then John Henry William, then John George William, then John Samuel Westfallen, then my mother, Betsy Elizabeth Westfallen. I have been told John George came to England circa 1780, but am not certain of this. I'd be grateful for any info. Thanks, Janet. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
