Jefferson Davis??, Sarah Jane McCline or McClain, children: 1.Sarah Ann Davis 2. Wealthy Ann Davis, b. 1885, 3.Etha Elder Davis or Ester 4. Thomas J. Davis or Tom.This family was living in Newton, Baker Co., Ga. 1870-1900's. It is believed that Jefferson died of influenza, he was a peanut farmer leaving Sarah widowed. Sarah may have lived with family at this time, my father said they were related to the Carrington's. Sarah have remarried to Unkn. Mr.Bell, that is what my father said she was being called. Wealthy married Ingram in Geneva Ala., there first 3 or four children are buried in the Travelersrest Freewill Baptist Church Cem. Opal Hall Ingram and Nellie Jane Ingram and other?. Also buried there is mother Sarah Bell, son Thomas Davis and wife Emma and others of his family. Etha married Baxter in Henry Ala.. Sarah Ann married twice uncertain of names. My father only still living child of Jeremiah James Ingram AKA James Jackson Ingram,NC. buried in the Gordon Cem. in Early Ga. with Wealthy;son Isaac Ingram, daughters Rueber and Laney who married Tabb's. I'm trying to get more information on Jefferson Davis and Sarah I know our Indian comes from them I want to confirm some of what I've heard from family. I was told Jefferson was the son of a minister who was married to an Indian. She was from the TN. area and That is what I heard about Sarah McCline or McClain that she was from the Tn. area but that she was born and raised in Baker Ga.? Anything about this family would help its my dead end and most of my living relatives are to old to remember things clearly....
