Searching for information on African American Tribbles. Henry Tribble was born in Kentucky between 1839 and 1841 (although early census information states Mexico)and married Elizabeth Harris born about 1850 (of Indiana) in Vigo County Indiana. They had children by the following names--all born in Indiana: Purly (Pearly) Agustus (b. 1879 or 1880), Dennis (born 1883), Letha (b. 1885), Ruth (b. 1888), Clarence (b. 1890), Roy (b. 1892), Aaron (b. 1894). There may have been other children as indicated through the 1900 census (states Elizabeth had 10 children with 8 living, I can only account for 7 children) Dennis married a woman by the name of Mammie Hathecock, Roy married a woman with the surname Smith, Aaron married a woman by the name of Orange ? and Clarence married Orynthia Roberts and Ruth married Granville Newble. Henry, Elizabeth and two of their children, Clarence and Aaron moved to Eastern Washington about 1909-1910. Any information helpful. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
