Query Text: |
Searching for any information on possible Scaman plantations or Scaman's that owned slaves. My great great grandmother was Nancy (Nannie) Scaman (although she was raised as John Napier) and was born in Tennessee to Fannie Seaman (Fannie was born about 1841). Nancy was born about 1865 and is listed as Mulatto in the 1880 census (in 1870 she is listed as Black). Nancy married George W. Gullick in Tennesse and they had 16 children. I am particulary interesed in learning about the Seaman connection. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
