I need to find out more information about the killing of Alexander Farmer (my great-grandfather) by Samuel Howard (related to Victoria Howard (Alex's wife) in or around Paige, Bastrop Co., Texas, in 1878 (I think). My grand-mother Harriet D. Farmer was about 4 yrs old when this happened. There is a mention of it in the Bastrop Advertiser, but they left out the details.
