Searching for pre-immigration info on Josef Kopa (Koppa)(b. 19 March 1837 Vizovice, Moravia) married Franziska ?? (b. abt 1843 Moravia) in or before 1869. They had three children prior to immigration: Josefa J (b. abt 1870 Vizovice), John J. (my grandfather) 25 July 1871 Vizovice) and Franziska/Frances (b. 29 June 1878 Moravia). On October 11, 1879 (not sure if this is boarded or arrival date???) they left Vizovice on the German Liner General Werder to New York. From NY they boarded a ship to Galveston, Texas and settled not far from there. They changed the spelling to Koppa after arrival here. I am searching for family info and ancestors of Josef and Franziska (and her maiden name family when discovered)plus more specifics on them and the children like middle names, exact birthdates/places, etc. Also if any other siblings or kin immigrated as well to America or where the lineage is today in the homeland. Also on Rosalie Schiller (b. 4 March, 1876 in Wesley, Texas. This is my grandmother (who married John J Koppa above) on 27 Aug 1894. They settled in Rosebud, Tx. Her mother's name was Rosalie also (b Bohemia) and her brothers were Frank and Joe who settled in Temple, Tx. Also a sister Tracy who married a Haenisch.
