Searching for information about John R. Smith and wife Caroline M. They appear on Mississippi census reports from Tallahatchie Co. in 1850 and 1860. John enlists with the Confederates and goes to the war. During the War he disappears and there are no records to show what happened to him. I need to know the names of John's parents. I also need to know Caroline's surname. I am hoping someone will recognize these names and will send me the long-sought information I need for this family. Your help will be much appreciated.
