John and George Palmer are real brickwalls in our family genealogy. Hope someone can help out. John Palmer born we think PA, location and date unknown Married Elizabeth Ashman, born 15 March 1776 in Garrison Forest, MD on 19 February 1795. John & Elizabeth's children: George Palmer, b Huntingdon County PA, date unknown, death date unknown Elizabeth Palmer, birthdate unknown, married J. T. Greer date unknown Mary Palmer, b 1804 Huntingdon County, PA, d 19 April 1897 in Spruce Creek PA. Mary married William McClay in 1828 in Franklin, PA Margaret Palmer, birth and death dates unknown Sarah Palmer, b 1804, married John Logan date and place unknown Elinor Palmer, birth and death dates unknown We are fairly sure John and Elizabeth are the parents of George and his siblings. Have not been able to locate anything more about John. John's wife Elizabeth is listed in the 1955 edition of Sons of American Revolution. With certainty we begin tracing from George onward. Although George himself is another brickwall. We do not know the name of his wife. George had five children one of whom was my ggggrandfather, James Palmer. I have James' family bible and it does not list his mother's name nor information on his father. If anyone has information or a clue about my elusive relations, I would appreciate hearing from you.
