Looking for more information regarding the Cobb family of Geneva County. They married into the Hendrix,Strickland,Dozier,Hewitt,Hayes, and other lines. Reddin and Elizabeth Cobb were in Dooly County in 1860. Dont know what happened to Reddin, but it is believed that Elizabeth and her children came to Geneva County after the civil war. In the 1880 census, Elizabeth is living in the household of her daughter, Sarah and Sarah's husband Hezekiah Hendrix. Looking for any information on this family. One of their sons, James K.P. Cobb, homesteaded land in Geneva County in 1891. James was married to Jane Dozier. By 1900, his son David Twiggs Cobb is living on his land and there is no sign of James and his wife. Have never been able to find James in the 1870 or 1880 census. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
