This is a query on behalf of a neighbour from the U.S. who believes that her McMahan ancestors came from Co. Cork, Ireland. John McMahan was married to Fanny Large. Their son, William McMahon married Louisa Abgar. William's daughter, Nellie McMahan married Gwen Macey. Please contact me if any of the names ring a bell. My neighbour would like to trace her Irish roots. Unfortunately, there are no dates at this stage, but I would guess that William and Fanny married in the U.S. around the middle of the nineteenth century.
