I am searching the place of birth for THOMAS D. PARKER b. 6 May 1799 and his parent's names. He married ELIZABETH ACREE b. 1805 Bertie Co.,N.C. She was the daughter of Henly of Bertie Co.and of sTEWART Co., Tenn.,and granddaughter of "Cashie John" Acree. Family tradition says he was born in Virginia. He seems to have had a brother in law named William Parker who may have been related by blood also. I AM PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN LOCATING THE VIRGINIA FAMILY FROM WHICH THOMAS D. PARKER ORIGINATED. In Stewart Co. records THOMAS D. PARKER is shown to sell land to the following persons:Deed of conveyance for 224 acres from Thomas D. Parker to Jesse Acree, John R. Acree, Ezekiel Harrell, William Parker, Nathaniel Parker, Polly Acree and Isaac Acree. May 4, 1829 Patience and niece Arilly daughter of John Jr. married Harrells, it is unknown who this William and Nathaniel Parker are or if they are related. Polly Acree is Elizabeth’s sister and Issaac her brother. THOMAS D. PARKER purchased land in the Purchase Area of Kentucky in 1832 in Calloway Co., Ky. He located his family there in late 1839. Four of his nine children (eight boys and one girl) seem to have been born elsewhere prior to the move. Their children's names are: JOSEPH JACOB b. 1824 (Stewart Co. Tenn.)M. Emaline Spiceland NATHAN BOONE b. 1828 ISSAC B. b.1829 FRANCES E.b. 1835 m. John Evans NATHANIELb.1837 GEORGE D.b. 1841 JAMES AARON b. 1843 m. Martha Ann Evaline Acree TIMOTHY J. b.ca. 1844 JESSEE b. ca.1847 m. Possibly last name Bell THOMAS D. PARKER d. 1879 and ELIZABETH ACREE d.1876 lived most of their lives after 1840 in Calloway Co. and died there. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
