I am trying to find ANY information on my GGGGrandfather Williamson Richard "Dick" Akins.He was married in 1855 in Davidson Co.,Tn.to Minerva Ann Hunt.In 1860 they were living downtown Nashville, near the river. household #93-425 Akin, Richard 25,Manerva 20, William E.3,Florence 2,Minerva 2/12, In the same household Tarlton & Martha (Akins)Moore & children & Jennie Akins 16, Next door was Milton & Harriet (Grooms) Akins & children, Nancy Akins 58,Robert Akins 12,Jefferson & Mary Mayhew & family Mary Keeting 16, Ellin Clark 13, John A. & Margaret (Parrish) Couch & family and S.P.Whitten. Milton Akins and John Couch were both ship captains, Richard was a drayman. Richard and his family moved to Sumner Co. about 1862,where they remained the rest of their lives. I can't find any of them in 1850. Are any of these names familiar to any one? Need help!!!
