Hart, Shoults, Shults,Votaw,Cockrell,Cockrill These families are believed to have come from Kentucky to Jefferson County Missouri(1850 census) and then around 1854 to Fayette Co. Texas. Would like to know what county in Kentucky they came from? John Hart had three sons, John G., Levi and Nowell A. Would like to share info. on this family. Desire to know their mother and what happened to John (the father) who left Texas in 1836. The sons came back to same county in 1854 without their father. John G. married Martha C. Shoults, daughter of Jacob and Rachel Shoults. Votaws were living nearby in Mo. and then moved to Tx. about the same time. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
