I am trying to find the relatives of my grandmother Effie Bass James. She married Raymond Brown in Pomeroy, Megis county, Ohio on December 22, 1911. In november of 1918 my grandfather died in a car accident. She had 4 children. She later married John Selby. I know she had sisters and brothers, a sister named Anne and a brother named Heber. I am trying to find information about her mother and father, William and Katherine Bass James. I think Katherine changed her name from Casandra to Katherine. I have a picture of my great-grandmother and on the back is written. My mother Mrs Arthur Davidson. Effie was one of three illegitimate children of an unknown person. I have the nam of Stalnaker, but I don't know if this was the name of the man she lived with after Mr. James. I would like to know how and when they came to the United States and from what country.
