Am researching Smith, Hill, Kelley or Kelly, Sandersons Lines. My Ancestor William Smith and his wife Barbara or Barbary Kelley/Kelly Smith came to Covington Co., MS in the early part of the 1800's. Both William and Barbara were born in NC and their children were born in SC. Their Children were Penelope born 2/6/1794, John born 1/5/1796, Mary born 4/4/1798 may have married a James Hill from NC, Lydia born 9/10/1800, William born 9/24/1802 married Zilpha Murrell, James born 4/7/1805 may have married Amelia Wiggins, Elizabeth born 9/13/1807, Ann born 12/16/1809, Samuel H. born 12/6/1809 married 3 times, first to Sarah Amanda Kelley/Kelly born in GA., Harriet Beech, and Elmira Williamson, Joshua born 4/21/1812, and Laurana born 5/6/1815 who married an Amos Sanderson. William Smith SR died in 1826 probably in Covington or Rankin Co., MS, Barbara Kelley Smith died probably in Lauderdale Co., MS around 1852 or 1854. William Smith Jr lived in Covington, Lawrence, Kemper and Jeff Davis Counties that I know of. He, Zilpha and most of their children are buried at Mt. Zion Cemetary. Some may be buried at White Sand. Any help on these lines would be appreciated. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
