Great Grandfather was born in Mauritius in 1860 (as per a later UK census). Full name was Edward Newcombe Atkins (variations on surname that have also been used = Atkin or Aitken). Known to be in UK in 1881. Parents may have previously lived in/posted to India. May have been in Diplomatic Service. Any assistance on data search would be appreciated.
