Looking for biological parents of Margaret Carson (married name: Diggs), my maternal great grandmother, born approx. 1852-1853. Mother was Lydia Lane (maiden name), POSSIBLY daughter of Wm. Carr Lane, of Fairfax County, VA. Margaret was adopted by a Dr. Wheeler, maybe of Maryland, but kept maiden name of Carson. Would appreciate any info about Lanes or Carsons...family says there may be a link to Kit Carson.
