I have run up against a stone wall on my ggg Granfather, William Hoyt b 24 Jul l755 where? to whom ? Records found that he appeared in Guilford,Windham co.,Vermont when he was entered on a payroll of Capt. Josiah Boyden's Co. in Col.William Williams' Regiment of Militia in the service of the US on an expedition to Bennington. He entered service 29 Aug. l777 and was discharged l2 sept. l777. He bought land in Guilford town in l779 and on 30 May l780 married Susannh Balch and in l796 bought land and moved to St,Johnsbury,Vt. Have conflicting dates as to when he died and unable to find any information on this and where he is buried.I would be very appreciate of any information that anyone might have so that I can continue genealogy of my family. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
