I am looking for Frederick J. Halbig who grew up in Carroll, Iowa. Approximate year of birth is 1922. He served in armed forces during World War II. He attended either Four C's College in Des Moines, Iowa or Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa prior to enlistment in military. Fred asked my mother, Mathea Glee Roberts of Dawson, Iowa, to marry him, then went off to war and Mom did not hear from him again. She does not believe he died in the war or she would have heard it.
