CHESTER: I am looking for my Chester ancestors. My GGG Grandmother was Hannah Chester born 28 May 1758. (She was the daughter of Joseph CHESTER and Hannah LESTER). Her husband was John Skermer born 11 Jan 1760 Belton, Leicester, England. He was the son of John SKERMER and Mary TANSUR. Their children were: John, Joseph, Samuel, Hannah, Mary, Thomas, Sarah and William. Their son, John Skermer was born 26 Dec 1781 in Belton, Leicester, England. He married Elizabeth IRONMONGER (daughter of Thomas IRONMONGER and Elizabeth). Their children were: Elizabeth, Hannah, Mary, Ursula Priscilla, John, Sarah, Ann, Maria and Harriet. Their son, John SKERMER was born 13 Aug 1813 in Castle Donington, England. He married Elizabeth (possible last name of HIGGOTT). Their children were: Elizabeth, Joseph, Mary Jane, Ellen, Thomas, Ann, William Palmer, Lilly Eliza, Maria and Samuel Robert. Their daughter, Elizabeth SKERMER was born 6 Aug 1843 Belton, Leicester, England. She married Hypolite Emile EPERTHENER born 18 Sep 1847, West Bromich, Staffordshire England. (He was the son of Louis Eperthener and Augustine BREGY, both born in France). They had the following children: Elizabeth, Leanore, Augustine, Hypolite, John L., Joseph Isadore and Lewis H. Their daughter Leanore EPERTHENER was born 04 Apr 1874, New Albany, Floyd Co., Indiana. She married William Henry GILLESPIE born 12 Jan 1867 (son of Henry GILLESPIE and Elizabeth MARTIN. They had the following children: Imogene, Gertrude, Donald Jay and William Henry Jr.
