The 4th annual eastern CRESS Reunion will be held Sunday, July 11 in Mountain City, TN. The reunion will be from Noon to 5pm at the Mountain City Welcome Center. This reunion brings together and celebrates descendants of Revolutionary War veteran George CRESS (1739-1823) who was born in Pennsylvania, settled in the great valley of Virginia and migrated to Gallia County, OH late in life. Attendance at the reunion is a great way to learn more about this large and diverse family since materials detailing the history of parts of the family and a large and through descendant report will be available for sale. In addition, posters showing the migration path of Revolutionary War George and his children; 4 generation family trees of Nicholas CRESS and his brother George Cress Jr (who settled in eastern KY) will be available for viewing. Custom pedigree charts will be printed for those who attend.
