My Patrick Kelley born (? County Sligo) IRE abt 1823 came to US through New Orleans abt 1843, built canals to Cincinnati where he married Bridget McGuire 1856 at St Xaviers RC Church. Family believes Bernard was his father's name - I have been unable to verify this. I know he had a brother John, I do not know of other siblings. Sons James (bef 1858) and Edward (1861) were born in Ohio (from St Xavier records). Family moved to IN worked in Putnam and Delaware COs. Children born in IN were: Charles (1863), Catherine (1865)-married a Hanley, Michael Joseph (1867) - married Mary Ann Doherty in Putnam CO., IN ; and John (1872).
