Aris Tolberd/t born 1845 in Carroll or Grayson county Virginia to John & Alley Cock Tolberd/t who moved to Montgomery County by 1850 census time. By 1866 John was in Niantic Twp., Macon Co Illinois. In 1879 widowed John married Malinda Helm and both are buried in the Long Point Cemetery, Niantic, Macon, Illinois. Aris lived in neighboring Logan County, Illinois and moved finally to Minneapolis, Minn. where he died in 1924. Sons to John were Aris, Allen. Are there others? Is Ambrose Tolberd appearing on 1880 Sangamon Co, Illinois census a son also. Ambrose birthplace is given also as Virginia and his birth year approximates 1857. I can't find the Tolberd/t family on the 1860 Virginia census. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
