I am looking for more info on William Icet. He said that he was born in Virginia, his father born in Canada, and his mother born in Pennsylvania. He was born in the early 1800's. Came to Texas as a young man. He had a cotton gin, blacksmith shop and was a boat builder of note in the area close to Trinity and Galveston Bays. Built scow schooners up to 70 ft. in length. These boats were mainly built in New England. He married a woman who arrived from France named Emily Blanchette. He had sons named William, Henry, Daniel, and a daughter named Kate.
