Looking for connections to the families listed below. Most were in Lehigh and Northampton counties of PA. Angelina YELLEN SPANITZ ANGELSTEIN 1930 Federal Census I believe this might be Angelina's family, possibly her brother and parents. Do you know anything about them? 1930 Federal Census John Yellen 67 1862 Austria Head White Whitehall, Lehigh, PA Rose Yellen 65 1864 Wife Whitehall, Lehigh, PA John Yellen 24 1905 Son Whitehall, Lehigh, PA Mary Yellen 20 1909 Daughter-in-law Whitehall, Lehigh, PA James Yellen 0 1929 Grandson Whitehall, Lehigh, PA 1920 Federal Census Name: John Yellen Age: 57 years Estimated birth year: 1862 Birthplace: Taenberg;SLK Race: White Home in 1920: Whitehall, Lehigh, Pennsylvania I am trying to determine whether or not this Yellen family from Lehigh Co in 1930 is the family of Angelina Yellen. In her obituary, a brother, John Yellen was listed as well as a sister, Rose Yellen Kutz(?). I suspect that the Rose and John, Sr here are her parents. Here is a portion of the information gathered from her obituary from 1981. She was b. May 29, 1889 in Burgenland, Austria daughter of Alexander Sagasitz YELLEN and wife(name unknown) Came to US in 1899 (from 1930 census) Married first to Stephen Spanitz children: Stephen Spanitz and John R. Spanitz Married second to Frederick Joseph Angelstein daughter: Dorothy Angelstein (married Frank Osborne Wood) Lived in Bath, PA (Northampton Co.) Alexander Sagastiz YELLEN also was father of John Yellen and Rose YELLEN KUTZ. When his daughter Angelina YELLEN ANGELSTEIN died in 1981, her obituary listed her brother John Yellen as living in Whitehall, PA and her sister Rose Kutz as living in Bethlehem, PA. On the 1930 census, Angelina is listed as 40 years old and living with her husband, Fred Angelstein; daughter, Dorothy Angelstein; son John R Spanitz; daughter-in-law, Helen Spanitz (wife of her other son Stephen), and grandson, Buckley Spanitz in Bath, PA.
