I have a Geneology project due to trace back my family origions as far as it can go. I know that my grandmother and great grandmother was born in Alligator Mississippi. My great grandmothers name is Katie Jarret. Her mothers name was Annie Coleman and Annie Coleman's mother name was Katie Coleman. I know that they were all born in Mississippi. Katie Coleman my Great Great Great Grandmother was born in 1853. She was a slave working for white people in Mississippi. Katie was 12 when the slaves were set free. I know thatI all of them, didn't come from Alligator Mississippi they came out of that region, more like Bolivar country where Alligator is located. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
