I am currently researching my families genealogy.. The surnames that I am in search of are Mauer, Roth, Stietz, and Seebecker also spelled as Siebecker possibly.. there seems to have been an argument in the family at my great grandfather and great great grandfathers levels about the way that the name was to be spelled. I have a Wilhem Mauer married to Elizabeth Roth.. His Birthdate was october 29, 1826 and he was born in we think Whittenburg or Wurttemberg Germany He died in April Of 1894. I only know of one of their children.. A son named Christian who came to America. The other family line that I am tracing is the Seebecker or Siebecker family. I have this traced back to Falindin Seebecker who was married to Elizabeth Stietz.. However Falindin may be his middle name.. The only child I know of there's is Adamus Seebecker who traveled to America in 1898 at the age of 20. Any information about these family names would be greatly appreciated as would information to help in the search as to how to obtain records from Germany on the family. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
