Looking for Jan Jakob Nilsson, son of Nils Andersson and Maja Hansdotter, born 4 April, 1857 in Fargelanda Parish, Alvsborg County, Sweden. He married Augusta Johannesdotter 16 April, 1881 in Hogsater Parish, Alvsborg County, Sweden. They then moved to Skien, Telemark County, Norway. Jakob Nilsen, as he is listed on the passenger list upon his arrival in New York in 1888 is believed to have gone to Salt Lake City, Utah. He corresponded with his wife in Norway for about 2 1/2 years and was not heard from since. I am hoping to find out what happened to him after he came to the United States.
