My great-great grandfather Ebenezer Wakeley arrived in Chicago in 1870. He was a Civil War Veteran (Connecticut First Light Artilery 1861-1865) and he ran for the Mayor of Chicago (twice) on the Peoples Silver Party ticket. My great grandfather Eben Stone Wakeley, my grandfather Ryland Stone Wakeley and my parents Robert Leo and Marilynn Viola (Wakeley) Cunningham all grew up in Evergreen Park and Blue Isalnd. Please contact me to share information. I have completed a 308 page book called, "The History of the Wakelee Family Since They Were Known in America". | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
