My grandmother, Effie Anne Spau Taylor lived in Norfolk at about 1888 to 1903 0r 1904. I believe she obtained a divorce during that time from Jasper N. Taylor, who had deserted her and my mother ( in Shelby co. Iowa). Effie was a sister to Dora Spurgeon (john) and had a sewing shop in an upstairs apt in downtown Norfolk. My mother, Lou D.Taylor, graduated from Norfolk High school in 1903 0r 1904, with Gene Huese (sp?) Any info would be helpful, especially about the divorce.
