Rufus Harvey Castor, photographer, was born in Collingwood,Ontario in 1864 and died in Colorado in Dec. 1899. He married Ida Belle R. who was born in Indianna in 1870. They had three children, Ethel May,and Rufus. They/ or he lived for a while in Carthage Missouri where Rufus and his brothers John and Will operated Castor Brothers Photography Studio. In 1893, according the Denver Directory, he and brother Ira were bricklayers, living in Denver. Rufus's son, Rufus Harvey was listed in the 1910 Denver census living with his grandmother whose surname is illegible, he was drafted in 1916 in Denver. He died in Portland Oregon on Nov. 29, 1947. Looking for further information about son Rufus & and information about Ida Belle. What was her maiden surname ...did she marry after 1910 and leave Denver? Would love to hear from any descendants.
