LOOKING FOR INFO. IN ALABAMA on - William W. CARDEN, b-abt.1824, SC and died unk. Lost track after the 1880 Shelby Co, AL census. Before that he married Martha A. DERBY in 1845, Perry County, AL. He was in the Civil War and returned to his teaching profession afterwards. W.W. Carden was known to have lived and taught school in both Bibb and Shelby Co, AL. He was not listed in the 1850 census, but it seems that Martha, his wife, and 2 children were. Perhaps she was living in the household of a MUCKLERATH (McELRATH?), possibly her sister, in Perry Co,AL. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
