Seeking info on Napoleon Bonaparte Sherard of Sumter County, Alabama. Napoleon married Henrietta M M Dinkins in 1854 and fathered three children: Julia Arabella Sherard (b.1855), John Holmes Sherard (b.1857), and Napoleon B Sherard Jr. Following the sudden death of his father, John Holmes Sherard I in June 1855, few details of Napoleon's live are available. Between 1858 and 1860, Napoleon dies, leaving his family without resource, and forcing his widow, Henrietta, to seek refuge with her sister-in-law, Martha Sherard Parker. Napoleon's life and death are seldom spoke of by his surviving heirs, despite the fact he was the eldest son of John Holmes Sherard I. Attached is a copy of his only daughter, Julia Arabella Sherard (1855-1949), in her youth. Help me solve this mystery. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
