Hello: This is what I found regarding my family!! Henri Sellier married: Jeanne Laurent. Daughter: Elizabeth Sellier Laurent born May 31, 1761 or 1767?? (Parroy, Meurte-et-Moselle France). Died: February 15, 1831. Married: May 6, 1797. Her husband: Antoine Joseph Rochette Jean Joseph Rochette married Jeanne Josephe Barthelemy: Son: Antoine Joseph Rochette Barthelemy born April 10, 1765 (in Flavines, Sambre-et-Meuse, today Belgium). Died on December 25, 1836 at 71 years old at Saint Nicolas Hospital Married: May 6, 1797. His wife: Elizabeth Sellier. Children of Antoine Joseph Rochette Barthelemy and Elizabeth Sellier Laurent: 1) Christophe Rochette Sellier born January 11, 1796 2) Charles Rochette Sellier born June 21, 1800 died July 21, 1800 3) Jean Rochette Sellier born Oct. 8, 1802. 1) Christophe Rochette Sellier married Mauricia Gomez Perez (born August 23, 1809 in Santiago de los Caballeros, Republica Dominicana). Children: 1a) Maria Petronial Rochet Gomez born: 1839 died October 12, 1889. Married in 1863 to Erasmos Bermudez Jimenez b. Oct 5, 1825 Venezuela). 1b) Juan Pablo Rochet Gomez 1c) Cipriana Justina Rochet Gomez 2) Charles Rochette Sellier (died July 21, 1800) 3) Jean Rochette Sellier married in Metz on 11 april 1825 with an Amélie Baillard born March 1, 1805, daughter of Charles Francois Baillard and Genevieve Picard. Jean, wife and parents were living at: Saulnerie street in Metz, France in 1825. He went to Algiera!!! Their children are: 3a) Félix Antoine Rochet Baillard born October 7, 1826 in Metz, France. 3b) Charles Rochet Baillard born October 20, 1829 in Metz, France. Died September 4, 1831. 3c) Antoine Rochet Baillard born September 27, 1831 in Metz, France. Jean Rochette Sellier went as settler to Algeria. On 14 june 1850 there is in Metz France the transcription of a death dated 3 october 1849 at the military hospital of Cherchell (Algeria). It is the death of Charles Rochet, settler in the village of Zurich near Cherchell, Algeria, born on 16 vendémiaire an 11 in Metz, son of Antoine Joseph Rochet and Elisabeth Sellier. I thought at the beginning that it was a brother of Jean, but not found a brother. This date of "16 vendémiare an 11" (8 october 1802) is the same of the birth of Jean. So I supposed he went to Algeria between 1831 and 1836 (Algeria was conquered by Frenchs in 1830), and he changed his first name in memory/souvenir of his dead son Charles who died in Metz in 1831.
