My line of the Schroeder family came to New Zealand by the Ship Carisbrooke Castle 29 May 1974 from England. Before living in London, the family came from Amt Zaven (aka Seaven), Hanover, Germany. I have some details of the Family in Zeven: Hans Henry Schroeder + Anna Maria Blume, Married: 02 JUL 1837, Zeven. Their children (1) Anna Dorothea Catherina Maria Schröder, Born: 03 NOV 1838, Zeven, Germany, (2) Jacob Frederick Johann Schröder, Born: 1841, Zaven, Germany. (3) Carston Christoper Ludwig Schröder Born: 19 DEC 1843, Zaven, Germany. (4) Anna Catherine Gelcher Schröder, Born: 07 APR 1850, Zeven, Germany (5) Heinrich [Henry] John Schröder, Born: 1834, Hanover, Germany, Died: 01 DEC 1885, Tai Tapu, NZ Married to Catherine Anne Shelling, Born: 1836, Germany? Died: 18 SEP 1904, Christchurch, NZ. Heinrich and Catherine settled in Tai Tapu, just out of Christchurch, New Zealand. with their children. Heinrich was a sugerbaker and most likely worked in London for a while before coming on to New Zealand. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
