I'm trying to find descendants of Robert Porter Bingham,Resident Commissioner of Penang from(3rd November 1951-19th April 1952/25th October 1952-1955/1955-1957).He being an Actg.Resident Commissioner of Penang in 1950.He was was born in Dungannon, County Tyrone on January 3rd 1903.Son of Robert William Bingham & Annie. He received his education from the Dungannon Royal School and Dublin University. He was appointed as a cadet in Malayan Civil service in 1926. From 1926-1928 he studied Chinese in China. District Officer for Christmas Island in 1931. Assistant Protector of Chinese in Taiping, Perak, Malacca,Kedah & Singapore from 1932-1933, 1933 and 1936-1937 respectively. 1936-7. Police Magistrate SS. Protector of Chinese, Malacca 1938-41, Deputy Immigration Officer and SuperIntendent of Prisons. Dalforce - in Alexandra Hospital 2.42.His wife Elizabeth Walker Acheson evacuated to Sydney, Australia.
