Johann Achen born 1825, Damshagen, Pomm. to Mathias and Dorothea Weichmann Achen, immigrated to American in 1852, married Wilhelmina Bohnsack at Milwaukee, Wis. September, 1852.], moved to Richland County, Wis where he purchased 80 acres in the Ash Creek Area of Richland County. He lived there until he homesteaded in 1883 in Dakota Territory in what is now SD, died in 1908 and is buried in Ellendale, ND. Who out there knows anything about his parents and siblings. One sister, Sophia Groth came to America and settled in the same area. This man is my father's greatgrandfather.
