Hello! My name is Cathy Kidd Hammond. My father, Roy Kidd, is from Whitley City. His father was Clarence Kidd, son of Jesse M. Kidd, b. 1853. Jesse's father was David Kidd b. 1814. David's father was Sherrod Kidd, b. 1783, and his father was William Kidd b. about 1750. I am at a standstill in two areas and any help would be appreciated. My grandmother, Clarence's wife was Flora Bell Deaton and I am trying to find out who her parents were. She was left at the Beulah Heights Orphanage where she lived until finding work at the McCreary County Jail where she met my grandfather.
