An opportunity has been given to the descendents of Robert A. Reames to acquire the property near Cub Run, KY, on which the Reames Chapel Church and Cemetery are located. The Church Needs restoration and the Cemetery needs clearing and maintenance. A group of Reames descendents has gotten together and is asking for your assistance in funding the purchase of the property and restoration of the Church. A Ream(e)s Chapel Restoration Foundation has been established at the Hart County Bank and Trust in Munfordville, KY where donations can be made directly to the fund through the Bank. The Founders are in the process of obtaining 501 C 3 (non-profit) status for the Foundation. The Reames Chapel Church was an important part of the Hart Co. Community from the early 1800's until they merged with the Cub Run Methodist Church in 1965. The Church and Cemetery have fallen into disrepair. It is the goal of the RCR Foundation to restore the Church to its original condition and to clear the Cemetery of fallen trees and brush and reset the stones as needed. The site will also serve as a clearinghouse for family information and family history for the descendants of Robert A. Reames of Hart County, Kentucky.
